Now that I have your attention i just wanted to alert you to the fact that I have entered a competition to be the next Channel [V] Presenter…yes, that’s right, one of the most amazing jobs in the world.
My audition only got put up today so I need your help to get some votes.

I started writing an essay about why this job would mean the world to me, but I stopped myself because I didnt want to bore you all. Basically, working in communications in the music industry is the only future for me, there is nothing else I enjoy more or can see myself doing for the rest of my life. I already write, and I know I am good at it, but I know there is so much more out there for me to explore. And the Channel [V] Presenter job is the master key to that world. The job involves everything I could possibly imagine, I get to talk about the music I love and the music I dont love and tell everyone why that is so, I get to write about music and write my own funnies, I get to be the face of a music organization, a recognized face with a valid opinion and a platform to share it on, I get to locate new music, discover new artists and maybe even have a great big helping hand in their future, and I get to live around music lovers, people like me whose first love will always be music, people who know a lot about music I might not know, who I can learn off and grow with.

But most of all I get to live, breathe and exist within music and the music world, the only place I truly belong. This is honestly my dream job, and I know everyone says that, but the opportunities this job would give me are so far past my dreams it is insane, and now I am somewhat on the path to being there. 

All it will take is 10 seconds, for something that means more to me than the words on this paper can even begin to describe.
